Overview

Besides the basic and engineering sciences, the curriculum in Civil Engineering covers various professional subjects e.g. Structures, foundation, construction, works management and cost transportation engineering, irrigation engineering, hydraulics, environmental engineering & earthquake technology etc.Civil Engineering is known to be the mother of all engineering disciplines. CE is a professional engineering discipline dealing with the design and construction ofpublic and private sectors like road, dams, bridges etc. Thus, the scope is very wide.Civil Engineering actually plays the role of nation building. The construction boom in India and abroad provides plenty of opportunities for Civil Engineers. So MIT is trying to mold the students as world class Engineers.The Department has fully equipped laboratories.
