a . Central library
The well facilitated and spacious Central Library, which quenches the thirst of knowledgeable seekers, has a voluminous collection of books on science and technology, personality development, career guidance, as well as national and international journals, magazines, newspapers and periodicals and a number of reference materials that help eager students. This well-set excellently catalogued Library is always kept open helping the students and faculty to utilize the library at the fullest. It gives an excellent ambience for learning.
b. Residential Facilities
Exclusive hostels for boys and girls, with homely ambience, inside the Campus.The avenues of trees and green plants give a resort-like-atmosphere which is highly conducive to pleasant learning and peaceful living within the Campus.
c. Transport Facilities
To facilitate the transportation of students and staff of this institution bus services are provided to Kannur, Thalasseri, and Koothuparambu. These service are very much helpful to the students and staff for their journey to and from the college and various industrial visits in connection with the curriculum. The students are issued identity cum Bus Pass during the admission process.
e. CCF
The CCF provides high speed internet access to staff and students alike. It is equipped with more than 30 high end computers for various purposes. It is controlled and coordinated by a high end HP server.
f. Seminar Hall
Seminar halls which can accommodate about 150 students are available for each department in the campus. They are well equipped with multimedia projectors and audio systems. Events such as small meetings and intra department level seminars, workshops etc. are organized here.
g. Prayer Hall
There are separate spacious Prayer Halls for girls and boys inside the campus.
h. Training and Placement Cell
MIT facilitates students’ placements through Training and Placement Cell. The Placement Cell gives information about employment opportunities and makes information available about higher education in India and other countries. It provides an interface between the academia and the Industry. It is our endeavor to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between the students and the industry. Placement unit provides a platform for placement where companies are invited to recruit students of various specializations and work experience. Potential employers are able to undertake on-campus recruitment through a stream-lined process of registration, PPTs and selection. Understanding the significance of using the right aptitude and knowledge skillsets for the right task, the Placement Team seeks to provide corporates and students the best opportunities for mutually beneficial selection. The Placement Team invites companies for Final Placements. The placement cell offers training on various skills such as resume writing, interviews skills, group discussions, confidence-building, guidance in career choices etc.
The placement cell comprises staff representatives from different departments, student representatives from the pre-final year and final years of graduation, voluntary alumni representatives and supporting administrative staff.
i. The Meeting Halls and Auditoriums
Several meeting halls equipped with ultra-modern audio-visual and recording devices have been provided where faculty, staff and students organize weekly and monthly meetings for sharing knowledge and exchange of ideas. An air-conditioned Auditorium, with a seating capacity of 1000, is housed at the Medical College building. In addition, there is an amphitheater with a seating capacity of 3,000 persons.
j. Modern Food Courts
Cafeteria and mess facilities are available in the Campus to cater the needs of students and teachers. Different kinds of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food are available. The outlets offer high quality food, made by qualified and well trained cooks and supporting staff, at an affordable rate to students, staff and visitors. Nutritious and wholesome food is provided, to ensure a well-balanced diet.
k. Sports Activities
There is a Gymnasium with all latest equipment’s. There are facilities for indoor games like shuttle badminton and table tennis. Separate grounds for playing football, basketball, and volley ball are also available.
